What other artists have to say about Carolyn DiGiovanni... Chuck Calhoun, President of Charlotte Artist Society Charlotte, NC www.chalhounart.com August 31,2006 “I have had the opportunity to know Carolyn DiGiovanni for about 10 years, as a fellow artist. During the entire time that I have known Carolyn, she has been a dedicated and serious artist. Carolyn has one of the strongest work ethics of artists I’ve come to know, and, regardless of circumstances, she always is consistently developing new artwork. Ms. DiGiovanni’s message within her artwork is as strong as the bold brush strokes she employs in her paintings. In addition to creating art, Carolyn has been sharing her skills with others. During my tenure as president of the Guild of Charlotte Artists, I had the opportunity to have Carolyn as one of our monthly program artists. She continues to exhibit and demonstrate at regular intervals.” Sincerely, Chuck Calhoun 2006 President Charlotte Artists Society

Sept. 2, 2006 To Whom It May Concern, For several years now, I have known Carolyn DiGiovanni to be a very driven person in regards to her artistic goals. Additionally, she has consistently shown extreme determination towards achieving her creative ambitions while striving to become a full-time artist. As a self-supportive, professional artist in Charlotte, North Carolina, since 1975, I can attest to the difficulty in this quest. I also have served in several positions with both The Guild of Charlotte Artists and The Charlotte Art League, including two full terms as President and another year as Vice President of the Guild of Charlotte Artists. Furthermore, during the last four years, I have produced a weekly television show teaching all mediums of artistic creativity, “Marilynn Fairchild’s Art Insight” which is now in the process of going national on PBS Television. Therefore, I am very familiar with the difficulties and the determination it takes to succeed with the visual art arena. Most Sincerely, Marilynn Fairchild

Artist Charze writes... To Whom It May Concern, After producing over 300 pieces of original art, working on 2 movies, meeting the great "Peter Max" in person and writing 5 books on my work I retired in January of 2006. I took my brushes and threw them in the trash can. I had given all I was willing to give of myself to "art". At the time I was still waiting for my painting palette to be officially picked up by a major art company but that finally came in the spring of 2006. Now with all my pieces out in circulation and with a painting palette selling all over the country and in France & Germany I felt that I had done my part for the art world but as 2006 was coming to a close something happened. I was browsing a local art website and saw some pieces that caused something to stir inside of me again. The colors were vibrant and the pieces almost spoke to me. I contacted the artist to ask if I could see the paintings in person. The person behind these amazing paintings was none other than Carolyn DiGiovanni. Upon arriving at Carolyn's studio she gave me the full tour. Room after room was filled with paintings that even "Peter Max" would stand in awe of. Being an artist all my life and seeing the works of thousands of artists I knew I was standing next to someone who I felt was a true artist. After talking with Carolyn for a few hours and hearing the sacrifices she had made to be able to pursue her craft (which included living in a warehouse with no heat just to be able to survive and buy more supplies), I knew that this person was indeed "The Real Deal". In the days that followed I found myself opening up all my old boxes of artwork and writings and looking at them again. They sat undisturbed for almost a year but because of a chance meeting with a very special artist the boxes were opened again. I took out sketches of new products I had given up on and started to work with them again. What will come of all of this? I cannot say. In life none of us really know what the future holds for us but I can tell you that for someone's work to have this kind of affect on another person is quite amazing. I am convinced that Carolyn's gift is from God. No one could do what she does in her paintings without some divine intervention being involved. I've seen people try to use as many colors as she does and not get it to work. Somehow when Carolyn does it - it works beautifully. I'm glad that I met Carolyn. If you haven't had a chance to visit her studio you should make it a point to do so. An artist like Carolyn comes along only once in a lifetime. - "Charze"
